CITIZEN TV : APART FROM THE GREAT SETS..YOU AIN'T NUTHIN.

Did anyone happen to catch citizen's power breakfast today? I watched the guest interview segment(part of it) and truth be told it just revealed what i think ails us as a people,...we really don't get it..we really don't! Here is Dr David Matsanga a peace and conflict expert who was as always on point, overly dramatic but lucid and passionate whenever he talks about Africa on the various subjects that define the continent. So here is Jimmy Gathu and Mutegi Njau....both -in Kenyan standards assumed to be good at what they do- going on about what they think of the ICC has been a good thing for Kenya...blubbering how the confirmation hearings will deter future post election violence from occurring... a lame point considering they are journalists!!!

My beef with these two fake ass TV Hosts that there arguments were average the couldn't grasp whatever Dr. Matsanga was saying...Jimmy especially was being unprofessional, his antics were to say the least embarrassing on national TV sighing unnecessarily, moving about his chair saying absolutely nothing of value. I swear his comments were nothing short of senseless. A man from the street would argue the same way he did only thing missing would be that he doesn't have a platform where millions wouldn't actually see and hear his naive arguments! Mutegi Wasn't that bad he was just worse minus the antics of course. At what point are you a journalist when half the time you just give information that is lopsided and simply put devoid of any relevant input from your thoughts. it just shows you have no idea what you are saying. Anyone who professes that he is a journalist knows that whatever happens in Africa isn't necessarily as clear cut as they seem to be...

This just illustrates who we are as a people. We don't think, we just take in whatever we hear from international, local press and accept it as the gospel truth. We are so simple minded to a fault..... let us question stuff, think it ain't illegal yet!

Camp Mulla say whut Again???????????!!!!!!!!!!

This blogging business....eish!!! it's been around for over a decade and i still haven't come around to using it appropriately...!! i am Kenyan the phrase use what you have doesn't necessarily mean a damn thing to me.......but i digress...oh well moving right on.....my latest beef....or is it hating?!..you tell me...apparently there is this trio that has been the buzz lately ever since they released their debut song...some song i don't remember the title -purposefully so because timeless music is foreign in this side of the world- So their video launch has been the topic and how this demonstration will supposedly be a step in the right direction...... thats great thing if you ask me... but my problem with this whole situation is this...how on earth do this rookies come out of nowhere and they are immediately branded the messiah of the Kenyan Music scene?!! sample this article from last week's Zuqka magazine in the Daily Nation...

...." they have perfected the art of rapping and rhyming and have an international appeal. When it     comes to rhyming they are taking hip hop to a whole new level in Kenya. In fact they are in their own league in this genre locally - generally though the group is growing and its destined to be a big force to be reckoned with in the hip hop industry.... " SAY WHUT?!!!!!!!

OCTOPIZZO, WENYEJI, K FORCE ARE THE REAL RAPPERS, THESE ARE ONES THE REAL PROPS SHOULD GO TO......CHEKED OUT THE PHOTOS AND THE Kenya's MTV representative Arthur K was at the launch and i couldn't help this was straight up favoritism..... i am bored and this whole thing is stupid!!!!!

Think it aint illegal yet...: Kenyan Music....where is the art....?

Think it aint illegal yet...: Kenyan Music....where is the art....?: "Is it me or am i the only person who thinks music from Kenya especially the purported mainstream music is the worst in the world?...whatever..."

Kenyan Music....where is the art....?

Is it me or am i the only person who thinks music from Kenya especially the purported mainstream music is the worst in the world?...whatever happened to the legendary benga tunes that dominated the airwaves in the 1960s...the quality of today's music is just bland to say the least. The worst part is the media gives coverage to artistes who don't deserve the spotlight, the accolades, and the endorsement deals that they receive. An artiste is someone who creates art, that can be imitated but never replicated...are majority of the Kenya singers.rappers artistes? in my opinion they are nothing but a bunch of wannabes who purposefully with the media shove their mediocrity down our throats.
